It is bordered by the short coastline of Gulf of Guinea and has the administrative capital, city of Lome. Actually, Togo and Ghana were once the same country, that got divided under the British Rule on Ghana and French rule on Togo. Today the country shares its longest border with Ghana towards the west, and Burkina Faso towards the north, Bennin in the east. Togo has tropical type of climate in the south and semiarid conditions towards the north.
