- Know and abide by the rules of the search engines. Google and Yahoo have certain requirements that you must follow when using SEO and it is VERY important to be aware and adhere to them. This is a MUST in SEO and I can not stress it enough.
- Use keywords! Keywords are the basis of SEO. It is what allows searches to locate you! The better match your keywords are the more they will find you. Also using those often and periodically in your web site are a helpful tool.
- Use descriptive and adequate words in your titles. Using keywords in the title tag is essential to increase your rankings and your findings from searches.
- Finally the fourth rule is to search for information that is similar or same to yours in content.
